Ready Today, Hero Tomorrow
Our Story
“You see, there's this stereotype that preparedness is for those paranoid preppers who build underground bunkers stocked with decades' worth of supplies. But here we were, just normal folks with families, jobs, and lives to live. We wanted to be ready for whatever curveballs life might throw our way, without letting that stigma hold us back.”
How It Started
One fall evening, a few of us friends were hanging out in the backyard around a crackling fire in northern Minnesota. Laughs, stories, and the smell of pine filled the air. We were talking about everything under the sun (or moon, technically), but there was one topic that seemed to stir a different kind of energy – preparedness.
We realized that preparedness wasn't about doomsday scenarios; it was about community strength. It was about being the hero not only for ourselves but for our loved ones and our neighbors too. And so, the idea of Hey There, Hero! was born.
Our goal was simple – to create a space where people could find high-quality preparedness goods without feeling like they were succumbing to paranoia. We wanted our community to be ready, confident, and united, without the need for secret hideaways and ammunition caches. Emergency kits that weren't over-the-top but covered the essentials, sustainable food options that tasted more like home cooking and less like cardboard and sawdust, and tools that made sense for everyday situations. But it wasn't just about the products. It was about building a network of like-minded heroes, a growing knowledge base, and folks who understood the importance of preparedness without the drama
The name "Hey There, Hero!" encapsulated our mission – a friendly reminder that preparedness is a heroic act, not a paranoid one. We wanted to be the heroes of our own stories and each other's, ready to lend a hand when things got tough. We hope this website can be more than a store, but a resource for knowledge as well. Build your community, learn, be ready.
